ABOUT ABOUT

This program brings together the timeless beauuty of classical music and the improvisational freedom of jazz. Through carefully crafted arrangements, iconic works fromthe classical repertoire merge with the rich harmonies and rhythms of jazz, creating a unique and poetic dialogue between the two genres. Each performance transcends boundaries, blending the structured elegance of composers like Bach or Debussy with the spontaneity of jazz masters such as Claude Bolling or Leonard Bernstein. It is a musical journey where tradition meets innovation, resonating with emotional depth and lyrical expression. Classical music is rooted in a long tradition of highly structured, written compositions. It spans several centuries and includes famous composers like Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven.

Classical music is defined by its precise notation, formality, and adherence to well-established rules of harmony, melody, and rhythm. It typically focuses on complex harmonic progressions, carefully arranged orchestration, and detailed attention to dynamics and expression. Jazz, emerging in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, primarily in African American communities, contrasts with classical music in its emphasis on improvisation, rhythm, and swing. Jazz incorporates elements from blues, ragtime, and African rhythms, among others. Musicians often use standard tunes as frameworks for improvisation, creating spontaneous variations on the melody and harmony
